Wound care for tumor removal

my dog had a tumor removed from paw he managed to pull stiches out is it okay for him to lick it he pulls all bandages off

    No don't let him lick the paw, he will only aggravate it. How long ago was the surgery? Wounds normally take 10- 14 days to heal up. You may find an elizabethan collar helpful to prevent him licking the wound until you can seek advice from your vet. try to keep him rested too. I have also had some clients use an old sock over the area to give it some protection but you want to make sure he doesn't swallow it!

    the surgery was 4 days ago he tries to bite me when ever i want to cover it and cries with the collar on

    If the surgery was 4 days ago and he won't let you cover the area or is not happy with the collar you should seek out the assistance of your vet. He may be painful and need extra pain relief or there may be other issues such as infection that your vet needs to check out. Good Luck
