My cat is constantly begging me for food. I used to give her strictly 1 cup dry food in the morning and 1 cup at night, but now she keeps me up all night long crying and tearing the house up, knocking things off tables and ripping up paper, until I feed her. I haven't been able to sleep in weeks! She's indoor, 2 years old, the only pet, getting really really fat, and driving me crazy!

Dry food will no satisfy her hunger nearly as well as canned food will. Dry food is loaded with carbs and a cats digestive system is not meant to process carbs. The nocturnal behavior is normal for cats, it is likely not due to hunger. When you feed her at night you are redirecting her attention to the food. If you have strays outside your home she is likely more active at nite because of them. Try changing to canned food and do not start feeding her at nite. It will become a learned behavior and she will wake you up all the time.
