my 14 year old bichon frise ate about 1 oz of chocolate late last night. it's been about 12 hours. she's a little hyperactive, but her outside habits are normal.

The fact that she is hyperactive suggests she is beyond the toxic threshold. Really she should be on intravenous fluids at your vet to reduce the toxic symptoms and effects.
