Hi. We have a 13yr old Doll Face persian who has started exhibiting some strange behaviour. She has increased thirst, low appetite and has difficulty climbing stairs. When picked up she complains. She seems to be favouring her rear end and just wants to hide away. i am concerned this may be late stage PKD. Any ideas? Thanks, Martin.

Take her to your vet. These symptoms could be explained by other illnesses such as diabetes, hyperthryoidism, chronic kidney disease, and/or arthritis. Your kitty should have a complete physical exam as well as blood and urine testing to get some baseline data that could explain what's going on.
