Cat Sudden Weight Loss No Symptoms

Rating: 4
Sebastian
Sebastian

Sebastian has always been very thin, weighing 9lbs. The past two months she has suddenly lost significant amount of weight with no symptoms but more vomitting, but the food is digested - mostly liquid. No loss of energy so far, no crying, no excessive sleeping. She is totally indoor kitty, all my cats are.

If her appetite is good she needs to be checked for an overactive thyriod gland.  This is a very common problem in cats and is easily treated.  If left untreated it can cause many other problems, such as heart disease.
