Lump

my jack russel terrier who has just turned 10 (years) has developed a pink lump under the skin on his back leg, the lump feels like fluid and moves when touched, the dog cant walk on the leg, the lump is the size of a large coin. the lump was once small but today has become big, he seems to be in pain, is this lump dangerous?

    Any lump that is causing pain to the degree that the leg is not being used should be addressed by your vet.  It may just be an abscess, which can be treated by draining it and putting your dog on antibiotics.  However, in an older dog with a growth, cancer is going to be on the list of possibilities.  He should be examined.
