Frequent Urination and Drinking Water

Rating: 10
Sebastian
Sebastian

Sebastian has been to the vet and they ruled out diabetes, diabetes insipidus, kidney stones and bladder stones. He drinks a lot of water, constantly and urinates a lot. I got home from work tonight and he had urinated on the floor and couch. He was all wet, where he had urinated all over himself, I guess in his sleep! Any ideas? The vet wants to test for Cushings Disease next.

That is the next step.  There are several blood tests for Cushing's disease and Sebastian will likely need an abdominal ultrasound as well.  There are 2 forms of Cushings, pituitary form(85%) and adrenal form(15%).  The pituitary form is treated with medication.  The adrenal form is treated with surgery.
