Cat keeps vomiting

Our cat has been vomiting alot lately and it has been mostly food. It has happens some but has gotten worse. also is it common for cats to chew on plants? Could this be a sign of heart worm?

    There are many resons that cats vomit.  It could be related to eating the plants, but he should be examined to be sure it's not more serious than that.  The most common sign of feline heartworm disease, unfortunately, is sudden death.  Coughing would proably be the second most common.  Coughing could lead to vomiting.

    ok Is their any other signs of something serious I could check for? Is their a brand of food I should check for I just found out he is 7 years old. The reson I am asking is he isnt coughing and he just vomited again.

    There may be things going on that you are not going to be able to see.  Is his appetite normal?  Does he have diarrhea?  Is he indoor only?  When was the last time he was dewormed?  When was the last time he had his stool tested for parasites?  Is he losing weight?  Is he gaining weight?
