sore ribs/stomache

his sorness just started yesterday we didn't know what was wrong till i tryed to pick him up to put him on the couch today I lifted him underneith right at the ribs/stomache area and he yelped

    Hi

    Max may have suffered some mild trauma to his chest or abdomen, but if he is breathing normally, eating, drinking and defaecating fine, then I would advise just resting him for a few days (no walks). If he still seems to be in pain then he will need to be examined by a vet and given anti-inflammatory painkillers.

    If there are any other symptoms he is showing that you didn't mention before, feel free to post them in your reply and I will add further comments.
