Kitten that was shocked

My son and his roommate, in their second year of college, recently got a kitten that shocked himself by chewing a cord. My son is very worried because he says the kitty's gums are separated from his jaw. They have no money for vet care, so i am planning on driving up to get the kitty, but I need to know what course of action do I take, and how expensive will it be?

Hi! That sounds like a broken jaw to me! the only way to fix a broken jaw is have the jaw wired under anesthesia. The price depends on where you from and the vet. I would say that you will have to pay for the wiring and the removal of the wire and expect antibiotics to be prescribed.

I hope I have been helpful! good luck!
