breathing problems

  • Checkers

My dog is 9 years old and has started breahing really hard and fast for about a month. I have taken him to 2 different vets they both say allergies. But the shots and medicine hasn't helped him. He has been eating a lot too lately and has gained weight. Just doen's feel good.

Symptoms: breathing, sneezing, increased thirst & urination, obesity & weight gain

These are not symptoms of allergies.  What you are describing could be Cushing's disease (an over active adrenal gland).  Have a vet perform a low dose dexamethsone test and an abdominal ultrasound to check for it.  IT IS NOT ALLERGIES :-)
