Leo is gagging with a slight gurggle but producing no vomit. He is also panting heavily. It has been going on for 5 days but is getting worse. Do you have any ideas of what it could be? And what treatment would you suggest?

There can be several reasons for coughing. Leo may have a respiratory infection, heartworm disease, or potentially a growth of some sort. The gagging and vomiting could be caused by the cough. The diarrhea and weight loss are concerning. How much weight has he lost and over what period of time? The treatment would depend on the underlying cause.
