Worried about Whining cat

my cat in the last month has been whinning for no apperant reason, drinks alot, smacks his mouth (like its dry), no longer purrs, barely plays and is losing wieght. 2 months ago we moved from MI to NC, but Silas, is a totaly inside cat dose not go outside my other cat has had no changes in his physical/mental condtion

    Increase in thirst and weight loss in a cat are big red flags for diabeties.  A simple blood sugar test will be able to tell if this is the problem.  Get him in ASAP because, if left untreated, diabeties can be very serious.
