My cat Oliver breathes very hard often, even as he sleeps, could this be a serious illness?

Every day I see pets come into my clinic injured and unwell. Its always so upsetting knowing that treatment could be taken a lot further only if the owner had taken out pet insurance. You have health insurance, so should your pet... Dr Brooks

Yes, other than the heavy breathing he is fine. He eats well and plays often. I just thought it was odd because he didn't start breathing like that until about 2 weeks ago.

I would say it may be best to get him checked if its something new. It may be nothing but its better to edge on the side of caution
