Hi, and I am sorry about your cat, but this sounds like she is in heat to me. It is great that your male cats have been nuetered, but, spaying a cat is not just proactive against unwanted pregnancies, but, also prevents mammary cancer and pyometra (which is an infection that grows in the uterus and can be fatal.) I understand your financial concern. It would be wise to see if you can find a spay and nueter clinic where the cost of spaying a cat will be cheaper. Her heat cycle will probably last two weeks and you will see her go into heat twice a year.

To cover all bases: she isnt straining in her litter box at all? what are these spasms like?
