So as per what the vet told me on my last question regarding her mucus discharge and scooting, I boiled my 12 week pomeranian a chicken brest, but I was wondering how much a day I should be giving her of the rice, chicken and yogurt, and if this would make her constipated.

Every day I see pets come into my clinic injured and unwell. Its always so upsetting knowing that treatment could be taken a lot further only if the owner had taken out pet insurance. You have health insurance, so should your pet... Dr Brooks

Hi David, thanks for your response to my questions.  I went and grabed her vet book that I got from the breeder and she has haddistemper, hepatitis, parainfluenza, parvovirus, bordetella on Aug.21/08.  They told me she should go in for her 2nd set of boosters in 3-4 weeks from this date.  I am not sure if any of these are for worms or not, but today she has not had any discharge and her poos are a lot firmer. Yesterday she had about two teaspoons of plain yogurt (morning and evening) and about 3 tablespoons of rice and 3 tablespoons of chicken.  She also went poo a lot less yesterday than she previously has.

Hi, its sounds like things are clearing up. happy to hear it. A bit of bland food does wonders!

The second set of boosters are the same as the first. Its important to give two sets to ensure the immunity is at its highest possible level. She will then have yearly boosters.

i think she will need some worming meds as this may have been the cause or at least a contributor to the diarrhea

Keep up with the bland food until she is solid again, then reintroduce her normal food over a few days.

    Cheers, david
