My cat sammy, he has a slight cough. nothing come up or anything. he is perfectly fine. but once in awhile he has that *cough* sorta like a human just does a little cough (no cold no nothing just a cough). it is just like human like parched throat or something just got stuck (like saliva). is there anything i can do to stop it, or is it just normal?

Coughing in cats has quite a lot of possible causes. If he's well in himself and it's only occasional, he probably just has to clear his throat- usually fur in cats. Rarely it could be from an infection or something like heart disease but don't worry about that because it would be much more frequent and there would be other signs of illness.

oh Ok. yea he might do it maybe...3 times a day i would say maybe 4... but nothing come out or anything... it's a little rough; the cough, tho. but doesn't happen much. There's also something else I'm meaning to ask. he also has i just heard it now, you know when u have a cold and u sniff in to hard almost it makes a gross sound like stuff just passed trough your nose to your throat...(sorry) it kinda sounds like that. is it hair balls? i heard that certain cold like noises are hair balls...or could he have a mini cold? it is cold in my room sometimes and accidently sometimes he gets place in here. he is as well going to see the vet soon.

It is quite possible it's hairballs, which can increase if he's overgrooming for any reason, so you could check his skin. If he had an infection you'd probably see a runny nose and he'd be off his food. It's good that he's due to see the vet soon, as he can have his chest and throat examined to reassure you that there's nothing serious going on. Good luck!
