I havea duck whose ankle appears swollen. She favors the leg/foot. The other ducks are fine, but seem to protect her.Are there any common things that can go wrong and what suggestions are there to help her through this?

swollen ankles or legs are usually a result of a bacterial infection in ducks unless obvious trauma has occurred.
Antibiotic injections such as Tylan 200 or Baytril are indicated. Other treatments may be reccommended, seek a veterinarian's advice please
