lumps

Hello, we have a 4 month old kitten that has lumps under her skin on her chest to her stomach. She has 5 in total of various size. They are smooth and round and do not hurt her in any way. Our vet has felt them and told us that sometimes pets have these lumps before they get spade, but once they get spade they often disappear. Is this true or should we get them removed beforehand. If you could offer me a second opinion, it would be greatly appreciated. My email address is jtg@ees-financial.com. Thank you.

    Hi

If these lumps are associated with mammary tissue, which they could well be from the location you describe, then sure spaying her will eliminate the ovarian hormones that might be causing it. Most cats can be spayed safely from 4mths onwards so I would go ahead and book her in, go will probably find the lumps disappear soon after.
