my dog was sleeping in a chair outside and within a few minutes i saw him fall from chair and started to cry. since then he has been limping on his front right paw. thought at first it was a cramp from being in the chair, but now it has been a few days and he is still limping on it. he does put some presure on it but im worried it could be a sprain. money is tight and i do want him to be ok is there a way of checking him without the need of a vet?

    Hi

If your dog is bearing some weight on the lame leg, then it is unlikely to be fractured (apart from perhaps a toe fracture). You can try strict rest for 1 week, and giving half an aspirin tablet with his food once a day as an anti-inflammatory. If he is still lame after this week of rest, he will need to see a vet and possibly have xrays.

    Good luck
