we found some lab puppies about 5 weeks old in an ad online, they did not have a mother around and the men who took care of them were always working. we took one and he seems to be doing fine,although i am worried about him being away from his mother so long. yesterday he pooped 2-3 times(we just got him yesterday) today he is on a regular 4 times a day feeding schedule of puppy chow softened with puppy formula. today he only pooped once and it was a very little bit. I am worried that he could be sick, also when can we get him shots?

I think they should be checked by your local vet primarily. First shots are usually at 9 weeks in England where I am but it may be different where you are.
