My dog keeps licking his rear hind foot between 2 of his toes. He has licked it raw. He is not limping on it though. What could be wrong?

He may have a foreign body like a foxtail, splinter, or torn stuck/burried in the skin. Or he could have had one there and its no longer there but, it caused him to lick it and he just continued to lick it until now and caused it to be irritated. I'd suggest he be examined by your veterinarian to assess the irritated area. I hope I helped and thank you for the question.
