Dog Vomiting

My 5 year old (today) Silkie Terrie has been vomiting a lot lately. I took her to the animal hospital. They kept her overnight and hydrated her. $800 later, they said her stomach wasn't twisted, but she did have some air/gas in her tummy. She's eating only small amounts of dry food for sensative stomachs. After she throws up foor, she continues to vomit this clear, foamy stuff. Help, please!

Hi. Sorry to hear about Xena's problems. Does she throw up every time she eats? And how long has it been happening for? It sounds like the very serious condition of gastric torsion has been ruled out, which is good. It may be that she has gastritis (inflammation of the stomach) for unrelated reasons and the gas in there is exacerbating it. If she's well in herself it's worth persisting with the small meals but if after a few days it doesn't settle down, you should probably give your vet a call to discuss further investigation.
