My cat is 62 days pregnant. Last night she started calling and had small amounts of blood coming from her vagina. Then it looked like her sides were contracting. This lasted for about an hour. Then as soon as it started it just stopped. Should I be concearned??

Whenever you are concerned about a pregnant animal it is very important to have her checked by your vet. If she has initiated contractions and not produced a kitten after this amount of time you should have her seen as soon as possible

Good luck, hope all turns out well

Every day I see pets come into my clinic injured and unwell. Its always so upsetting knowing that treatment could be taken a lot further only if the owner had taken out pet insurance. You have health insurance, so should your pet... Dr Brooks
