decrease in appetite

Over the last week daisy's appetite seems to have change from always eating her food in 5 minutes to a nibbler. She does eat all her food after 2-3 visits to her bowl. Every thing else seems to be the same. Is this just her growing out of the puppy stage?

Depending on how old she is it could be her adult teeth coming through that are making her do this. It can be a little bit sore for them but should pass.

Have a look in her mouth. Can you see any redness to the gums or tongue?

Have you changed her food recently?

Im sure this is just a temporary problem. If you are at all concerned about her, might be worth just having her checked by a vet

Every day I see pets come into my clinic injured and unwell. Its always so upsetting knowing that treatment could be taken a lot further only if the owner had taken out pet insurance. You have health insurance, so should your pet... Dr Brooks

She is 10 months old, I thought she had all her adult teeth by now.

yes, she should have all her adult teeth by now. Didnt realise how old she was.

I would suggest that if she is well in herself in every other regard then there is no need to worry, just monitor her appetite for now.

However, it wouldnt do any harm to get her checked by a vet as i cannot examine her myself and give you the all clear
