he has a swollen head on the right side and under his chin. does not seem to be in pain

Hi, There is quite a long list of potentials here:-
abscess, snake bite, saivary mucocele, growth, trauma, puppy strangles
I think it may be best to have him seen by a vet. Could you upload a picture for us to see? I may be able to comment further then. However I do feel you should have him seen by a vet as soon as poss

Every day I see pets come into my clinic injured and unwell. Its always so upsetting knowing that treatment could be taken a lot further only if the owner had taken out pet insurance. You have health insurance, so should your pet... Dr Brooks
