Last week, my cat had trouble jumping up onto the bed. the next day, she kept wetting her lips like she was going to vomit, which she hasn't yet, then she became lethargic, didn't want to move much, just layed around, she refuses to eat, and yesterday did not eat at all. she has this strange gaze in her eyes, and her paws are cold. She did, however, pee in the box twice yesterday, and once this morning. no bowel movements that i see. any suggestions?

My most direct suggestion would be to definately get her into see her vet as soon as possible. A cat that does not eat for an extended period of time could get what is called "Fatty liver disease". Fatty liver occurs when a cat stops eating and fat is moved from the body's storage depots to the liver for processing into lipoproteins but the feline liver was never intended to handle huge amounts of mobilized fat. The liver becomes infiltrated with fat and fails. This is not to scare you but, something that can occur quickly especially if its a slightly heavier than normal or overweight cat. Help entice your kitty by warming canned cat food to bring out the aroma more so - cats like to smell what thay eat. I hope I helped and thank you for the question.
