MY DOG HAS SWELLING ON ONE SIDE OF HIS ANAL OPENING. IT ALSO HAS TWO PUNCTURE WOUNDS WHERE THE SWELLING IS. WE DO NOT KNOW IF THE PUNCTURES WERE CAUSED BY HIM LICKING AND ITCHING THE AREA OF IF HE GOT BIT OR STONG BY SOMETHING. YESTERDAY THE IT WAS DRAINING AND THE SWELLING WAS GOING DOWN, BUT TODAY IT HAS GOTTEN BIGGER AND IS NOT DRAINING. WE HAVE BEEN WASHING THE AREA AND PUTTING NEOSPORIN ON IT. WHAT COULD THIS BE?

he probably has an anal gland abscess. it will need draining by your vet and he will need a course of oral antibiotics
