My dog has been vomiting for 3 days now and I just gave him Cephalexin but I have a medicine called Metociopramide which my vet said is for vomiting but I am not sure if I should give him that also. My dog has not eaten anything different and for the last 3 days he has not eaten anything at all. Nothing is coming up in his vomit except a water substance there is no blood or food so I am not sure what to do

Hello!
This is a difficult one. yes, Metoclopramide is indeed what we call an 'anti-emetic' (A drug to supress vomiting) BUT is there any chance that your dog could have a foreign body (Eaten something he shouldn't have causing a blockage)?? IF there is that possibilty then Metoclopramide is contra indicated in that particular situation.
I would strongly recommend that you get your dog re-checked 1st before commencing any further medication incase it needs to be examined further ie.e X rays, blood samples etc. Also, if he is unable to hold down food and water the possibility of dehydration is increasing the longer this goes on.
