Still having problems with Daisy

Our 2.5 yr old beagle mix Daisy snorts and does hacking coughs occasionally. But sometimes, she'll go into a licking frenzy, snort (not reverse sneezing), swallow, and spit up white mucus. During this frenzy she will eat any fuzz or anything else on the floor (something she doesn't normally do). It's almost like she's trying to clear her nose of mucus and swallow it. If I put her in her crate she will lick the floor of it or the sides. If I hold her she'll try and lick/eat my hair or just lick the air. These episodes can go on for hours, sometimes ALL night long, switching from her constantly licking to hacking coughing (like she's got something in her throat). We have done the following over the last few months: had chest X-rays, a throat wash, tried various antibiotics and antihistamines, done a full blood panel, and even had an endoscopy done so that a specialist good look in her throat and nasal area. EVERYTHING has come back normal. We have been to probably 4-5 regular vets, an ER vet, and an internal medicine specialist. She is now on Phenobarbital, since one or two of the vets said it's possible that it's a seizure of some sort, however myself and another vet don't think this is the case. The phenobarbital seems to be having no affect on her. Our current vet gave us some liquid valium to try and give during one of her episodes to calm her and it has done nothing. We are on the verge of being sent to Auburn University... I have posted a few links that show videos of what she does during one of her "episodes". I hope someone can view it and help! We are at our witts end!!

i am unsure as to what may be causing these episodes. your vets have done thorough investigations. does she do this only at home or other peoples houses. she could be allergic to something in your house such as cleaning products. did the antihistamines make any difference? you could ask for allergy testing to eliminate this
