I HAVE A STRAY CAT THAT LIVES IN MY GARAGE, I WAS FEEDING IT WHEN I NOTICED THAT ON ONE SIDE OF ITS FACE HAD A LARGE LUMP. WASN'T SURE WHAT TO DO, IT'S NOT MY CAT BUT I TAKE CARE OF IT SINCE I DON'T THINK IT HAS AN OWNER. THE LUMP IS NEW SINCE I DON'T RECALL SEEING EVERYTIME I FEED THE CAT.SORRY I DON'T HAVE PICTURE FOR YOU TO SEE.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP IN THIS MATTER, I WANT WHATS BEST FOR THIS CAT EVEN THOUGHT IT ADOPTED ME AS THE OWNER.
THANK YOU

Hi there, This lump is likely an abscess of some sort. An abscess is basically a pocket of infection under the skin. This may be related to getting into a fight or if the cat is older, it could even be a problem with the cat's tooth. It is difficult to diagnose without seeing the cat, but this is the most likely scenario. Of course, other diagnoses (like a tumor of some sort) are possible, but the abscess is most likely, especially considering the fact that it came up fairly quickly. Your cat will need antibiotic treatment - this will be a bit of a dilemma considering you may not be able to get the cat to the vet! If you call your local vet and tell them that you have a stray cat that you are feeding that has a possible abscess, some vets may give you an antibiotic you can slip into some canned food that will treat the problem. Good luck!
