My 8 year old female cat is losing her hair on her tummy, inner legs and lower tail. Is this normal aging or is there something I can do. She is still playful and seems happy.

Hair loss isn't normal, I'd suggest that you get her into your vet to rule out the possibility of Ringworm (fungal infection) or skin mange mites or bacterial infection or allergies. I hope i helped somewhat and I thank you for your question.
