Can I give tylenol to my dog for a fever?

Rating: 0

Our lab/german shep. mix puppy (4.5 months old) received a shot of ceyalexina (sp?) today to treat some skin disease that he has. He has been sore and now seems to have a fever. Can I give him tylenol?

No. Tylenol is toxic to dogs. You should not give medicines without the consent of your vet. You may call your vet and tell him/her of  the side effects of the shot. Your vet will prescribe to you what medicine to give for the fever. For now apply a warm compress on the injected area. Take care.
