Vomitting Dog

Rating: 8

My 2 year old cockapoo dog has been vomiting about twice a week for the last month. Each time it is yellow bile with no food in it. Afterwards she is tired and scared of being punished, but otherwise she seems healthy. When she isn't vomitting, she plays and eats just like any other day. What could be wrong with her, and should I rush her to a vet? Are there any home remedies I could use?

Hi there, I don't think Ruby needs to be rushed to the vet - this sounds like a case of dietary intolerance to me. Because of the fact that she is acting totally fine, eating fine, and only vomitting bile 2x weekly, this doesn't sound like anything serious to me. One question I would ask is what you feed Ruby? I would consider putting her on a chicken or turkey-based diet if she is on beef or lamb, sometimes that can solve the problem. Also, how many times a day do you feed her? If it is only once daily, sometimes changing the routine to twice daily will do the trick. If these things don't work, I would recommend a visit to your vet to make sure nothing else is going on. Hope this helps!
