My beagle will be 16 soon and he just got sick with drinking excessively, peeing in the house and his groin area is very swollen. We took him to the vet and got a urine sample and the vet said his sugar levels are over 1000 and he is diabetic. We are going back on Saturday for blood tests as they believe he has cushings disease. If this is the diagnosis......would you have him treated or put to sleep peacefully? I am so upset as some say he is too old to really treat...
