Please help!

My 3 year old black lab has had excessive drooling, swollen eyes, not able to chew his food, change in bark, not breathing well, and he has been hacking for about 2 weeks. I took him to the vet last week and they said he had kennel cough and gave him antibiotics and cough supressants. It seems like his symptoms are getting worse, could it be something else?

    Hi there

Yes it could certainly be something else. Had he been in a kennel or somewhere with many dogs to raise the suspicion of kennel cough? As he is not breathing well I would be worried about allergies. If he is still doing this, please bring him back to your vets.

Let me know how you get on!
