Dog ate Raw Chicken Gizzards

My dog got in the trash can and ate raw chicken gizzards. Should I take him to the vet?

Symptoms: Pain, Vomiting

    Hi, most dogs would get away with this without too many ill effects, so i wouldn't rush to the vets yet. Keep an eye on him though. He may well have a bit of vomiting and diarrhoes, but as long as he has access to fresh water and is bright, you can wait and see. Is he showing any ill effects? You should check with your vet if he is collapsed or if he passes or vomits profuse amounts of blood, or is severely dehydrated- you can check this by seeing if his gums are moist or dry and tacky.
