My siberian husky is 15 years old. She is having problems with her back legs and seems to have more trouble with the one leg that has sores on the joints. Is there an ointment I could put on these sores?

Are they open sores? Usually anything like Neosporin or triple antibiotic ointment that you would put on yuor own wounds will be licked off in a matter of time by her. Is she having trouble getting around, getting up from laying down or laying down from standing up? Can she walk? is it more of an issue after she's gone running? These are all questions that I would monitor and keep in mind if you were to come into the veterinary practice where I work. I'd get her into your vet so that they can help solve the problems she's having. There are specific medications for pain that are formulated for dogs becuase human medications can cause problems on a dog, or cats. liver and kidneys. There are even products( medications and foods) for dogs that can help regenerate the cartiledge in the body to help regain mobility and activity. The sores are possibly a secondary problem due to her leg or spine issues. You can keep them clean with luke warm water and have something soft for her to lay on where ever she rests, so that the hardness of cement, tile, linoleum, etc don't cause more sores. I hope I helped and thank you for your question.
