My puppy has diarrhea without vomiting could it be parvo? Can I give her antidiarrheals? She has had one DHPP shot, about 2 weeks ago, she is 6-1/2 months old, we have had to change food, but I am worried about parvo.

I am sorry for the late response to to your question. Since you indicated that you have change food recently, it could be the cause of your puppy's diarrhea. Do not give your puppy any medicine. In changing dog food from one brand or type it must be done gradually. Initially mix 25% of the new food to 75% of the old food in the first 2 days increasing it to a 50-50% ratio on day 3-4, 75% new food to 25% old food on today 5-6 and 100% new food on day 7. The following are symptoms of parvo. Lethargy, bloody diarrhea, vomiting, loss of appetite, strong odor on the stool. If you see these symptoms in your puppy, seek medical help immediately. Take care and good luck.
