my dog has been sick for three days, he's been throwing up. And he doesn't want to eat or drink anything, he gets close to the bowls but doesn't do anything. All he does is lay on the floor.

I am sorry for the late response to your question. Your dog is showing signs that he needs immediate medical attention. Vomiting, lethargy, loss of appetite and not drinking are symptoms of many disease and it is important that a physical and laboratory examination should be carried out to your dog. The treatment and medication will vary according to what caused these symptoms. In the meantime check your dog if he is dehydrated by pinching and pulling on the skin on the neck. If it lost its elasticity and it takes a couple of seconds or more to return to normal then your dog is dehydrated. Another way of checking for dehydration is through your dog's gum. If its pale, dry and sticky , then your dog is dehydrated. Give him water or Gatorade given in small amount but frequently. You can give him ice cubes for him to lick. Take care and good luck.
