Our dog just started having a red rash near his armpit. He has not been biting or scratching at it, but it looks like its oozing. Can we use some kind of hydrpcorozone cream or bacitracin on him to help heal it?

Without knowing what the underlying problem is it would be best not to put anything on it until you see your vet. The sore/rash on his arm area could due to fleas, though you may not have seen them on your puppy it only takes one to have him scratching, itching, biting from the flea saliva that they can have an allergic reaction to. Another possibility would be a skin problem called ringworm (its not an actual worm that's just the name) its a fungal infection which can be tested for. Another possibility would be mange mite, there are two main types that affect dogs and cats- one is species specific and the other humans can get. So i'd highly recommend that you get your puppy in to have him examined and test for both possible issues. I hoped I help and thank your for your question.
