my puppy has been coughing and hacking and sounds like gagging lately and i just noticed a circle like pattern rash near his groin area. what is it?

Has your puppy been vaccinated with a bordatella ( kennel cough) vaccine? The coughing could be bordatella or it could be that he's not feeling well or that he ingested something that is making him cough. The sore/rash on his groin could be a skin probelm called ringworm ( its not an actual worm that just the name) its a fungal infection which can be tested for. Another possibility would be mange mite, there are two main types that affect dogs and cats- one is species specific and the other humans can get. So i'd highly recommend that yuo get your puppy in to have him examined and test for both possible issues. I hoped I help and thank your for your question.
