cat illness

my cat minky had two kittens in july, both died last week and minky has died a week later, they all had the symptoms: bloody noses, loss of balance and tempory paralysis of back legs, loss of appitite, eye and throat infections and severe vomiting and sneezing

    Hi, Im really sorry to hear about your loss. Please may I just ask a few questions.. were they all fully vaccinated? what diagnostic tests and treatments were performed? Was a post mortem carried out on the kittens? It seems to me that the obvious candidates are FIP and Panleukopenia viruses. There are other less common possibilities also. Please let me know any more details you may have. Thanks

    Every day I see pets come into my clinic injured and unwell. Its always so upsetting knowing that treatment could be taken a lot further only if the owner had taken out pet insurance. You have health insurance, so should your pet... Dr Brooks
