Hi, My kitten decided to play with one of my necklaces the other day and the cord has gone missing, I have looked everywhere and now feel that he might have eaten it, is this dangerous to him? He hasn't to date passed it out yet either.

A string ( or elongated foreign body) can certainly be dangerous in terms of causing an intestinal obstruction. Typical signs that can be seen from this are vomiting, inappetance, diarrhea or constipation. IS he defecating and eating OK? There is always the chance that your cat may not have eaten it at all. The only thing I would suggest right now is monitoring for any signs that something isn't right. If he did swallow it then it is usually a surgical procedure to remove it. If you see it hanging out of his anus or wrapped around his tongue, don't pull on it, seek help from your vet ASAP I hope this helps
