Bloated Beagle

Rating: 10

Our dog got loose this past Saturday and must have ate something. His stomach is bloaded and has vomitted once, approximately 2 hours after he ate on Sunday. He is lethargic and having a hard time holding himself up. He asks to go out, but produces nothing. You're thoughts!

Hi there, This could potentially be something very serious - "bloat" can be life threatening in fact if the stomach has twisted around, preventing food from leaving it, while at the same time filling up with gas. It is impossible for me to say if this is the case without ever having seen the dog, but my advice would be to get him to the vet straight away!

Your beagle should definitely get to a vet asap!

There are several potential deadly/serious problems that can cause these symptoms (ie. bloat, abdominal fluid, ruptured mass, etc.)

I hope your little one feels much better soon!
