Blood excretion

Rating: 10

I noticed Prince licking himself and saw that he had a large red erection( I believe his first)I then noticed some blood on my sheets. He is a virgin and un-nuetered. I held him tell he relaxed but I am worried about the blood. Is this normal?

    Hi there,

It is not unusual for unneutered males to get erections he has probably had many before but this has been the first that has caused problems. They can get a condition where the penis becomes erect and engorged and the prepuce (sheath) around the penis become taut causing more swelling, the penis drys out and is unable to be retracted this is know as paraphimosis.  If this is happening regularly then neutering could be an option to help reduce the problem, the blood may have come from his penis, so it would be worth getting a urine sample tested to make sure there is no other infection and to get him checked out if things are gettng sore and uncomfortable.,

    Regards
