Bleeding spot on back...

Hi there,
I just noticed a few days when bathing my 7 month old puppy that he had a spot on his back (closer to his shoulder blades) that was scabbed over and very red. This morning I checked it and it looked to be bleeding again. I know he isn't bothering the spot becuase it's out of the reach of his mouth and paws. Any idea what it could be? He loved to chase bees in the backyard...could he have possibly been stung?

Hi there. A bee sting is a possibility. If it is just a small bleeding spot that is not bothering him, and he is fine otherwise, you can just bathe it in salt water three times a day (1 tsp salt in 1 cup warm boiled/cooled water). It should heal within a week. It it is a raised bump or is getting worse, I would have it checked by a vet. Hope that helps!
