My cat throws up at night about 2-3 AM. He does not throw up food or solids like water. It's like he has a stomach acke. When I first got him the vet said he had a little bacteria in his stool maybe it came back. I give him about 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon of baby food chicken in the morning but this AM I did not give it to him. I'm worried about him. Thank you for your help. Nicki

Hi there. An important consideration is how your cat is doing apart from the vomitting? Is he bright and active otherwise? Does he have a good appetite and are his faeces normal? If he is well otherwise, he may just have a problem with furballs or inflammatory bowel disease, you can try feeding him small amounts of a food designed for a sensitive stomach- feed small meals frequently rather than a full bowl. Check with your local vet or pet store or click here to see what foods are available. If he is lethargic or has a decreased appetite or blood in his vomit, and certainly if he is vomitting several times a day, I would have him examined by a vet soon.

He is normal other then his vomit in the early morning. Thank you for your response and I will keep a good eye on him. I am such a worrier but it sounds like he's ok. Nicki
