Limping dog

My dog was walking fine one day and now she is limping on one of her back legs. There are no cuts, blood or anything sticking out of her leg. She is 13. What could it be?

    Hi there!

How long has this been going on for? It could be a sprain, in which case she should get better after a few days. If she is limping more after rest, she could have developed arthritis is the leg. There could also be some other causes, including soft tissue inflammation, muscle disorders or even tumours. Can you feel any swellings at all? In any case, if this continues or get worse, she should be seen by a vet.

    Hope she will get better.
