my puppy seems to be having a fever. he makes weird noises that sounds more like a sneeze or a cough, trying to get something out. i'm not sure what it is called, but the side nails on his back paws, well...one of them fell off, and the other one seems to be falling off. there is no bleeding and doesn't seem to have any kind of infection there. what can i do?

Your puppy may have sometihng stuck in his throat. If it is really a cough, it is hard to determine what causes it because there are a lot of possibilities why a dog cough. Some can be harmless, while other causes may be deadlier.Check your puppy's temperarture to make sure if has fever. If it's 103.5* or more then he has fever.  If your puppy's nail is falling it could be due to injury. Cut the nail back to prevent more harm. Take your dog to the vet for the right diagnosis and treatment. Take care and good luck.
